From April 3rd to May 14th , the pupils from the 1SN class worked with Olivier Bonnardot - a theatre expert-(a playwright / actor and instructor) and their English teacher -Miss Gorichon-on a play they decided to call " Wanted Mike Twin dead or alive".
On this occasion , 4 workshops of 3 hours each were done . During the first one , pupils were presented various theatrical techniques to get confidence : physical and vocal warm-ups, chorus practise , performing sketches , miming, using imagination, oral expression , pronunciation and group interaction.
French was not used at all during the workshops to make the effort of speaking English a necessity for the students.
During workshops 2 and 3 , they hardly and collectively worked as a team on a play they decided to focus on robbery and gangsters as they worked on different groups of animals symbolizing some of these moral characteristics.
During workshop 4 , they proudly acted their whole play in front of Olivier Bonnardot and Amelie Tissier- from the DAAC section of the Education Authority Office. They even chose their English teacher as being Mike Twin.
Now , the pupils are working on a video in which they will explain their impressions about the workshops but also the different steps of their play. It was a good experience for the class as a whole team who practised English differently !
